If you’re a Merrill FA, Thain loves you—and he wants you to know about it, too. According a story in the Wall Street Journal’s Deal Journal section, Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain heaped praise upon the wealth management division during an interview, and has been singling it out with compliments since the beginning of the year, saying on conference calls that it was the only part of the company where compensation wouldn’t be revamped. “Merrill has a very good culture that is the strongest inside the wealth management organization,” he told the paper in the interview.
