CNBC will provide four hours of special programming from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, Sept. 16, for the financial services community to communicate to industry employees, the network says.

According to the Securities Industry Association (www.sia.com), the programming will fulfill several goals as the industry prepares to reopen U.S. equity markets at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 17: inform securities industry employees about specific procedures for reporting back to work; provide key contact numbers at firms to answer employees' questions about logistics, personnel benefits, etc.; and, provide all relevant information from city officials regarding access to lower Manhattan.

Throughout the program, phone calls from employees will be accepted. CNBC seeks direct participation from the 30 largest financial services firms, the SIA says, including providing guests who can answer a broad range of firm-specific questions from the network's Ft. Lee headquarters.

The industry association says CNBC wants bullet points from each firm containing pertinent information (for example, important telephone numbers, Web sites, office location maps). This information will be broadcast and provided via the network's Web site, according to the SIA. Firms are encouraged to alert their employees about the special broadcast.

To participate, contact the CNBC coordinating office at 201/346-5330. The network wants the name of each firm’s key contact person. The CNBC team contact is: Amy Zelvin, amy.zelvin@nbc.com.
