Philip Palaveev is the president of Fusion Advisor Network, a network of independent advisors that provides business management and collective bargaining services to its members. He is responsible for the strategy of the firm and practice management development, focusing on helping the 200 advisors grow their businesses. Prior to joining Fusion, Palaveev was a principal of Moss Adams LLP and led the market research for the firm, as well as consulted with broker/dealers and registered advisors on issues of strategy, competitive positioning, and financial performance. Palaveev holds an MBA from the Charles H. Lundquist School of Business at the University of Oregon and a B.A. in economics.

(he also writes The Puzzler as well as features), John is the author of over 15 business books. He first came to our attention through his book, Charles Schwab: How One Man Beat Wall Street and Reinvented the Brokerage Industry. His most recent book is The Manager's Book of Questions: 751 Great Questions for Hiring the Best Person. John also writes business speeches (check out his book, 50 High-Impact Speeches and Remarks). John lives in central Pennsylvania with his wife, Anna Beth Payne, a psychologist. John has two children: Daniel, who works in high-tech in San Francisco; and Rachel, who is studying at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Charlotte Gelin, an award-winning freelance photographer and graphic designer, has been working in the publishing industry for 20 years. Based in Melbourne, Australia, she has had work published in Australian Ski Extra, Australian Triathlete, Boardzone and other magazines, newspapers, catalogues and websites. When not shooting portraits, product shots or commissions for editorial, she is passionate about travelling, cooking, doing the art direction for music videos, collecting tin-toy robots, photographing live bands and raising her lively brood of kids.
