The Money Management Institute has added two governors to its Board. Kent Strazza, president and CEO of Franklin Templeton Private Client Group, and Marc Brookman, senior managing director at New York Life Investment Management, were approved to help MMI's loss of five governors at the end of 2002.

George A. Schieren, senior VP and associate general counsel at Merrill Lynch, joined law firm Clifford Chance's securities litigation group as a partner. Schieren had been with Merrill for 20 years and joins Clifford Chance in New York.

Madison Financial's new Retirement Solutions division added Al Otto, founder of Whitehorse Advisors, a 401(k)/pension plan company that focused on small-to-mid-sized employers. Otto will head the new department, which designs retirement plans for small businesses.

Bill Green returns to AXA Financial as senior vice president of field force development for AXA Advisors, the company's retail distribution arm. Green was an advisor and senior vice president with The Equitable Group (the former AXA Financial), for 18 years before moving to Metropolitan Life Insurance. He will be in charge of training techniques for AXA's sales force and field managers.

Quick & Reilly, FleetBoston Financial's brokerage arm, hired Jane-Marie Baker as senior VP and regional director for New Orleans and all of Florida. Baker previously worked at Charles Schwab & Co., most recently as vice president of retail client services.
