Mario Lamar and Carlos Bonzon, a large wealth management team, recently left Morgan Stanley in Miami for Salomon Smith Barney's Park Avenue office in New York. The two had been employed at Morgan Stanley from 1999 to late October of 2002.

Jamie Price left his position as president of Prudential Securities' private client group to work as head of investment and marketing solutions at UBS PaineWebber. Pru replaced Price with Michael Rice, former executive vice president and executive director of Pru's worldwide retail branch group.

Ellyn A. McColgan, a 20-year financial services veteran, was recently named president of Fidelity Brokerage. McColgan, who has been with Fidelity for 12 years, will manage the firm's retail and institutional operations. The brokerage company currently employs 9,000 and holds nearly $700 billion in customer assets.

Jonathan H. Stein, former senior trial counsel at the SEC, was appointed vice president and director of regulatory affairs for Raymond James. Stein worked for the SEC's Division of Enforcement for nine years. He served most recently as associate corporate counsel for Raymond James. Stein will be in charge of managing all securities regulatory matters.

Brian Peters, a 22-year veteran of RBC Dain Rauscher, is to take over in May as president and chief executive officer of Dain Rauscher, the U.S. brokerage arm of the Royal Bank of Canada. Peters replaces Irving Weiser as CEO and succeeds Peter Armenio as president. Peters is head of RBC Investments' Canadian Wealth Management division.
