  • Janet Mariconti moved over to Prudential Investments from Neuberger Berman, where she was director of business development. Mariconti, who spent 16 years at Neuberger, will be senior vice president, running the managed accounts business on a day-to-day basis, a new position. She reports to Keith Kinne, who heads up the managed accounts business and strategic investment research group.

  • Bob Barry (left) of Barry Capital Management in Hackettstown, N.J, takes over as chairman, of the Financial Planning Association in January. David Yeske (right) of Yeske & Co. in San Francisco becomes president and Elizabeth Jetton, president of Financial Vision Advisors in Atlanta, is president-elect. The Financial Planning Association named four new members to its board of directors. Each will serve a three-year term, beginning in 2003: Mark Johannessen is senior planner for Sullivan, Bruyette, Speros and Blayney in McLean, Va.; Troy Jones is president of Access Financial Resources in Oklahoma City, Okla.; Dan Moisand is a principal at Spraker, Fitzgerald, Tamayo & Moisand in Melbourne, Fla., and Nicholas Nicolette is a principal at Sterling Financial Group in Sparta, N.J.

  • BondDesk Group appointed William Parkhurst manager of municipal bond products. In his new job, Parkhurst, who was director of marketing at eBond before joining BondDesk, is responsible for management, marketing and implementation of analytic and decision support tools that give reps access to primary and secondary municipal products.

  • Fidelity Investments named Joseph LoRusso president of Fidelity Financial Intermediary Services in Boston. LoRusso, a nine-year Fidelity veteran who was president of Fidelity Institutional Retirement Services, succeeds Ellyn McColgan, the new president of Fidelity Brokerage. FFIS provides investment management products and services to investment professionals at banks, insurance companies and brokerage firms in the U.S. and Canada.
