2008: A Glass-Half-Full Kind Of Year?

U.S. economic growth will be slow in the first half of the year, but “accelerate” in the second half, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). SIFMA forecasts GDP growth of 2.1 percent in the first half, as the economy works out kinks created by the housing and credit sectors.
