Benjamin F. (Tad) Edwards hired Michael Petiford and Tim Reese from Wells Fargo to join his newly formed St. Louis-based broker/dealer. Edwards is the son of Benjamin F. Edwards III, the former chairman and chief executive of A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc.
Tim Cowdrey joined RBC Wealth Management as first vice president and branch director of the firm's Scottsdale office. Cowdrey joins RBC from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
TD Ameritrade named Ram Subramaniam managing director and head of products. Subramaniam joins from Morgan Stanley, where he held a number of senior positions, most recently as head of banking, lending, and accounts in the Global Wealth Management Group.
Mesirow Financial announced that Dennis M. Sarf has joined its b/d and Investment Advisor Services group as senior vice president responsible for business development. Most recently, Sarf was executive vice president of sales at Fetter Logic. He's also held sales positions at National Financial, ADP Brokerage Processing Service Bureau, Citicorp Securities Services and Tucker Anthony.
