A regal room, the perfect suit, a six-pack or an unassailable nest egg? Lucky for you, most people want the last thing on that list the most. At least, that's the implication of a report recently released by SIFMA and Artemis Strategy Group. Respondents were asked which they would choose if they were offered a free consultation with an interior designer, a fashion/style consultant, a personal trainer or a financial advisor. Just over half of respondents said they would choose the financial advisor. The personal trainer came in second with 23 percent. Younger people were more likely to opt for a personal trainer (29 percent of those aged 18 to 34 would choose a personal trainer, compared with only 19 percent of those over 55), while men were more likely to choose advice from a financial advisor than women (57 percent versus 50 percent).

More than half of those surveyed said they evaluate their financial plans for retirement on a regular basis (at least once a year) and about one-third of respondents described themselves as apprehensive, panicked or clueless about saving for retirement. Yikes, these people need your help.
