Crackberry Addicts Fight Back
Run afoul of the law while tapping or yapping into your Blackberry and you may have a case-against your employer. A Smith Barney broker who struck another motorist with his car claimed he was distracted because he was making sales calls. Smith Barney said he wasn't on the job, but brokers testified at the trial that they were encouraged to make calls whenever and wherever they could. “These crackberry addictions can come back and bite companies in the end,” said an attorney familiar with the case.
