RBC Wealth Management hired William Thompson as a senior vice president and branch director for its Casper, Wyoming office. Thompson joins RBC Wealth Management from UBS.
Former AIG Advisor Group executive, Stuart Rogers, has joined Bennett Group Financial Services as president. The Bennett Group manages over $1 billion in client assets, and is an affiliate of Royal Alliance, an AIG independent broker/dealer.
Neuberger Berman Group hired Michael J. Holmberg and a team of four investment professionals for its integrated Leveraged Asset Management platform. Holmberg joins Neuberger from Newberry Capital Management.
Mary Schapiro, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, announced the appointment of George S. Canellos as director of the SEC's New York regional office, where he will oversee enforcement and examination operations. Canellos joins the SEC from the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, where he has been a partner in the litigation group.
